Capital Bank expands its charitable activities in Ramadan with "Atfaluna"
During the holy month of Ramadan, Capital Bank expanded its charitable activities by signing an agreement with the "Atfaluna" Foundation, a non-profit Jordanian institution that provides medical care services to needy children.
The agreement involves Capital Bank's donation to cover the costs of various surgical operations and medical equipment for 30 children from families facing financial difficulties. These operations will be performed by a group of the most renowned specialized doctors who volunteer at the "Atfaluna " Foundation in several hospitals in the Kingdom.
Capital Bank's strategy for social responsibility relies on identifying the intersection of several sectors through strategic partnerships that the bank builds with specialized civil society institutions. The bank activates the role of its employees and seeks their assistance in achieving the mission of Capital Bank.
In this regard, Touleen Barto, the Chief Marketing and Communication Officer at Capital Bank Group, says: "Capital Bank plays a distinctive social and humanitarian role that reflects the positive and bright image it enjoys inside and outside Jordan. It seeks to strengthen the social fabric by reinforcing noble human values."
Barto added: "Our donation to cover the costs of treating these children came to stand with them and help them overcome the hardships and difficulties they face so that they can later live a normal life like their peers."
Barto confirmed that "the choice of the Atfaluna Foundation came because of its role and track record in charitable and voluntary work, and the harmony of its goals with Capital Bank's social responsibility in providing basic social needs such as food, shelter, and medical care for the needy."
Dr. Ghassan Al-Alami, the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the "Atfaluna" Foundation, considers the donation from Capital Bank to be extremely generous and believes that this act of generosity will not only improve the children's current conditions, but also provide them with hope and happiness.
Al-Alami explains that "such agreements help our foundation to provide a high-quality level of healthcare for children in need and help them to live like any other children", calling on institutions and companies to follow in the footsteps of Capital Bank in supporting the foundation, which has helped thousands of children in different regions of the Kingdom.”
Atfaluna was founded in 2015 by a number of volunteers who work as specialists in various sectors to achieve one goal, which is to establish a non-profit organization that provides medical care for children in need, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or national backgrounds, through the donations provided by donors, and the dedicated efforts of a growing network of volunteer doctors and specialists. Atfaluna applies precise economic and medical standards to select patients, after which the team proceeds to organize their assessment procedures, arrange for their treatment with the appropriate specialist doctor, and cover the full cost of their diagnosis and necessary medical care until the end of their treatment journey.
