Capital Bank’s Social Committee Hosts Sixth Annual Employee Chess Tournament
Capital Bank’s Social Committee recently held the sixth edition of its annual chess tournament for employees. The event took place on Saturday, July 5th, at the Royal Jordanian Chess Federation headquarters, bringing together over 20 employees from various departments in a lively and competitive atmosphere.
Wael Al-Bayari, Director of the Large Corporate Banking Division and Chairman of the Social Activities Committee, honored the top three winners: Zaid Al-Jundi claimed first place, Ahmad Al-Khairi came in second, and Faisal Al-Khafash secured third.
The tournament was managed by the Royal Jordanian Chess Federation and followed a Swiss-system format consisting of nine rounds, with each player given 20 minutes per match. The event reflected the bank’s commitment to creating a supportive and well-rounded work environment that prioritizes employee well-being and development.
This tournament is part of a broader series of events organized by the Social Committee to strengthen internal engagement and foster a sense of community among employees. By encouraging participation in intellectual and athletic activities, Capital Bank aims to nurture critical thinking, promote positive competition, and cultivate a workplace culture of innovation, teamwork, and belonging.
