Capital Bank Sponsors “Basmat Amal” Ramadan Campaign to Support Children with Cancer

In celebration of its 30th anniversary and as part of its commitment to social responsibility, Capital Bank has announced its support for the “Basmat Amal” Ramadan campaign, organized by the Hareer Initiative. The campaign aims to bring joy to children with cancer, orphans, and individuals with disabilities during the holy month of Ramadan.

In 2025, the campaign seeks to reach 1,500 children and their families by organizing charitable iftar gatherings across various regions of the Kingdom and distributing food baskets—promoting the values of solidarity and compassion throughout the holy month.

Touleen Barto, Chief Marketing and Corporate Communications Officer at Capital Bank, commented, highlighted the significance of the initiative, stating, “At Capital Bank, we believe that giving is an essential part of our social responsibility, and supporting underprivileged communities is a duty we all share.” She emphasized that the bank’s participation in the “Basmat Amal” campaign reflects its ongoing commitment to empowering the community and fostering a spirit of unity, especially during Ramadan, a time that embodies mercy and generosity.

Barto also noted that, as part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, Capital Bank actively supports various initiatives that create a lasting positive impact, reinforcing its role as a responsible partner in the development of Jordanian society.

Nihad Dabbas, founder of the Hareer Initiative, expressed his gratitude for Capital Bank’s support, which will help achieve the campaign’s humanitarian goals. He stated, “The ‘Basmat Amal’ campaign is a message of love and hope for children in need of care and support. We deeply appreciate Capital Bank’s contribution, which will bring smiles to the faces of children and their families during this special time.”

The Hareer Initiative was launched in 2017 as a pioneering effort to provide psychological support to children with cancer by crafting high-quality wigs for them.
