Capital Bank Partners with “Kun” Application for a Wellness Workshop
The workshop, which was attended by 100 employees and was held at the Amman Rotana Hotel on June 19, was hosted by American University of Beirut Health and Wellness Center Director Dr. Maya Romani, who specializes in family medicine, performance-improvement programs, smoke cessation and reducing and managing fatigue.
Commenting on the workshop, Capital Bank Group Head of Human Resources Haya Abu Atta said that Capital Bank prioritizes employee health and wellness through striving to create an optimal work environment for its team, allowing them to advance both professionally and personally. According to Abu Atta, the event is entirely in line with the bank’s commitment to the idea that the mental well-being and health of employees are no less important than their physical health.
Through the workshop, participants were able to harness ways to improve their well-being with stress-relief techniques that focus on clarity and physical wellness, especially given the vital role that mental health plays in their lives.
The “Kun” app offers awareness meditations that increase mental presence, raise body awareness and improve breathing patterns, as well as stress-reducing exercises and techniques that help overcome the difficulties of day-to-day life. The app also focuses on managing relationships with oneself and with others, regulating feelings to improve personal relationships, and maintaining positive feelings towards others.
