Capital Bank Participates With Two Teams in Jordan 3x3 Banks Basketball Challenge 2019

The tournament, which is organized by event organizer and Jordan 3x3 committee member Ramez Kawar, will be held at the King Hussein Business Park according to a three-stage league system.

During Stop 1, Capital Bank’s first team won the third place, while its second team came in the sixth position.

The challenge, which is held between 6 and 20 December, is endorsed by the Jordan Olympic Committee and has referees from the Jordan Basketball Association to preside over the games.

The tournament starts with the group stage, where 8 of the 10 participating teams qualify to the quarter-finals, according to their results, before competing in the semi-finals and finals which are held right after. Each team consists of four to six players, with only four players taking part in each game.

Capital Bank’s participation in this challenge is in line with its efforts to spread and encourage basketball in Jordan which has gained popularity in recent years thanks to initiatives such as the one by Ramez Kawar. Through this participation, Capital Bank also strives to develop this sport which has been able to achieve numerous successes over the years on the continental and international levels.

Capital Bank encourages its employees to engage in sports activities and events that enhance competition, teamwork and team building, and promote healthy practices.

It is worth mentioning that the game lasts for 10 minutes, and in the case of a tie, the game is extended until one of the two teams scores the first two points over the other team.
