Capital Bank Organizes Annual ‘Bake for Hope’ Initiative to Raise Awareness About Breast Cancer
October isn’t like any other month for Capital Bank employees. Every year, this special month brings with it the annual ‘Bake for Hope’ initiative by Capital Bank to raise awareness about breast cancer and provide support to female patients in their battle against the disease.
Held for the third consecutive year as part of the ‘Capital Cares’ program, the ‘Bake for Hope’ initiative saw the participation of Capital Bank employees who sold home-made foods and desserts and donated the proceeds to King Hussein Cancer Center, embodying the true meanings of giving back and social solidarity.
Capital Bank has been organizing the ‘Bake for Hope’ initiative every year in October, a month dedicated to raising public awareness of the symptoms, risk factors and early detection methods of breast cancer by the World Health Organization.
By taking part in this initiative, Capital Bank employees have demonstrated their commitment to the Bank’s human and social involvement as reflected in its corporate social responsibility strategy. The event also reflects Capital Bank’s position as a national organization with a leading role in bringing about comprehensive and sustainable economic development for the country.

To increase the positive impact of the ‘Bake for Hope’ initiative, a medical team from King Hussein Cancer Center conducted free clinical examinations for female employees at Capital Bank throughout the initiative.
Capital Bank’s CSR strategy includes establishing long-term strategic partnerships aimed at supporting education, economic growth and environmental sustainability, as well as providing basic social needs, such as food, shelter and medical care, to those in need.
