Capital Bank Organizes Health Day to Raise Employee Awareness About Diabetes
Reaffirming its commitment to fostering a healthy workplace, Capital Bank held a special Health Day at its headquarters in recognition of World Diabetes Day. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and encourage employees to adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
Organized in collaboration with Unilab, the Health Day offered a range of free medical tests for employees, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, along with optional blood tests designed to meet health insurance requirements and support ongoing preventive care. Magma Lifestyle and Fitness Center also participated by providing an InBody test, giving employees the chance to better understand their health indicators.
The event featured an awareness session led by nutritionist Dina Salem, who shared practical guidance on maintaining a balanced diet and adopting healthy habits for those at risk of diabetes. She emphasized the importance of early detection and regular checkups to preserve overall health. To further motivate employees, special discount vouchers were distributed to encourage them to continue prioritizing their physical and mental well-being.
Commenting on the initiative, Touleen Barto, Chief Marketing and Corporate Communications Officer at Capital Bank, said the event reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to the health and safety of its employees, noting that investing in employee well-being directly enhances performance and productivity.
Barto added that Capital Bank continues to promote a culture of health awareness and prevention in the workplace through comprehensive initiatives that combine education, screening, and care—an approach that reflects the bank’s core values of putting people at the heart of its priorities.
This Health Day is part of a broader series of initiatives organized by Capital Bank throughout the year to promote employee well-being, including sports programs, regular medical checkups, and awareness workshops on both physical and mental health.
