Capital Bank Celebrates the Success of the "Seven Mountains" Initiative and Reaffirms Its Proud Support
Capital Bank recently celebrated the remarkable achievement of the "Seven Mountains" initiative team, who completed a challenging mountain-climbing journey to deliver a message of hope and solidarity with children battling cancer in Jordan. The bank expressed its pride in supporting this pioneering humanitarian effort, which exemplifies the spirit of resilience and determination.
The team, made up of students from the International School of Choueifat, successfully completed the journey as part of an initiative launched by Louay Shomali in 2017. The initiative aims to support children awaiting treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center by climbing mountain peaks that symbolize the physical and emotional struggles cancer patients endure. To date, the initiative has raised nearly one million dollars for the center, a major milestone in community-driven humanitarian work.
Touleen Barto, Chief Marketing and Corporate Communications Officer at Capital Bank, emphasized that the bank’s support for the "Seven Mountains" initiative reflects its long-standing commitment to impactful community programs, particularly those focused on children’s health and access to medical care. She noted that the initiative’s tangible results highlight the power of collective action in driving meaningful change.
Barto also stated that initiatives like "Seven Mountains" are closely aligned with Capital Bank’s strategic approach to corporate social responsibility. She affirmed the bank’s dedication to continuing its support for purposeful initiatives that foster solidarity and enhance the quality of life within the community.
Louay Shomali, founder of the "Seven Mountains" initiative, expressed his gratitude for the partnership with Capital Bank and pride in the team’s accomplishment. Their efforts fulfilled the initiative’s humanitarian goal by successfully raising the necessary funds to help children on the treatment waiting list.
Through this sponsorship, Capital Bank reaffirms its ongoing commitment to supporting health, education, and youth initiatives that make a meaningful difference and contribute to building a more compassionate and united society.
