In line with its commitment to implement its digital transformation strategy, Capital Bank has taken effective and actual steps to become the first digitally-enabled bank in Jordan. One of these steps is the investment the bank has undertaken to fully develop its infrastructure and implement cutting-edge technology in order to provide top-of-the-line services to its customers.
To translate this vision into tangible actions, Capital Bank signed an agreement with Orange Jordan through which the bank will provide efficient, effective and accurate digitized products and services that will reflect positively on customer satisfaction - a priority for Capital Bank. The agreement was signed by Capital Bank Chief Executive Officer Ala Qumsieh, and Orange Jordan Chief Executive Officer Jerome Hénique, in the presence of senior team members from both organizations.
The agreement is valued at JD720,000 and involves two development parts. The first will see Orange Jordan host the servers and communications equipment for Capital Bank's Disaster Recovery Center at Orange Jordan Data Center, in order to ensure that the bank’s data and services are handled in a safe, reliable and uninterrupted environment. This will enable the bank to fulfill the increasing requirements of its commercial business in a seamless and timely manner.
The second part involves increasing the efficiency and the speed of Capital Bank’s Internet network provided by Orange Jordan, by replacing the third-generation technology currently in use with the most cutting-edge technology available today – fiber optics. The new fiber-optic network will cover all the bank’s branches and ATM machines, as well as adding new lines to new Capital Bank branches and ATM machines.
Commenting on the agreement, Capital Bank CEO Ala Qumsieh said, "Capital Bank values the importance of providing advanced banking services that exceed the expectations of our customers, which is why we have made this important investment to develop the bank’s infrastructure and move forward with its digital transformation. These steps will continue to affirm our position as the leader of digital transformation in the local market."
Qumsieh went on to add, "Today, we accomplish a major milestone in our digital transformation in cooperation with Orange Jordan, an innovative and established communications company in Jordan, to provide highly competitive electronic services and channels, for our customers." Qumsieh also expressed his appreciation to the team at Orange Jordan for their concerted efforts to make this project a success.
Orange Jordan CEO Jerome Hénique commented on the partnership with Capital Bank, saying, "Being the strongest service provider for business solutions, we always strive to support our corporate customers, partnering with them to establish digital transformation through our innovative services and solutions that advance their work and allow them to provide only the best to their customers. We continuously look to be the main and most reliable communications partner for our customers, offering them an unmatched experience in line with our five-year Essentials 2020 strategy goals.”
Sami Smeirat, Chief Enterprise Officer at Orange Jordan, said, "We are proud to add Capital Bank to our prestigious customer base, and look forward to providing the bank with a highly efficient and advanced communications system to enable it to develop and upgrade its business and fully serve its customers. We are certain that Orange Jordan Data Center, which has been awarded the Tier III international license and boasts the most advanced and innovative technologies, will serve the bank and help it accomplish its goals.”
