Amman, September 2009 – In order to interact with the local community and as part of its regular socially responsible activities, a team from Capital Bank visited the Orphan's Association in Mafraq. During the visit, which took place on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Bank's team distributed a number of food packages and enjoyed breaking their fast with members and residents of the Association in an intimate family atmosphere.
Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Haytham Kamhiyah, Capital Bank's General Manager, said: "We did our utmost to ensure that the Bank's employees took part in this activity which helps enhance interaction between the Bank's employees and members of the Association, making them feel part of our directions and programs that believe in the importance of us all contributing, both as individuals and institutions, and playing a positive role towards society. We are confident that teamwork leads to improved results within the social development process, creating a cooperative society that is built on equal opportunities. This vision is clearly reflected in our slogan, "Extending our partnerships", which we adopt not only towards our clients and shareholders, but also to all members of the community."
A team from Capital Bank also visited SOS villages in Amman during the Eid holiday to have breakfast with children from the village and distribute gifts among them, representing congratulatory wishes from the Bank's family during Eid. These efforts are in line with Capital Bank's adopted strategy, as it places much importance on social responsibility because of its belief in the importance of carrying out its duty towards improving the standards of living and achieving desired social change.
